Crock Pot Mashed Potatoes                                                      Back to Recipes
By LifeAdviceSite.

If you're like me when cooking a big dinner for a lot of guests, you wonder how to maximize kitchen cooking space to get it all done in time.  Since boiling all those potatoes takes time and valuable space on the stove-top, I decided to outsource to my crock pot.  Now every holiday when the bird or the roast goes in the oven, the potatoes go in the crock pot and everything is done at the same time with less fuss.

You'll need:
A crock pot
A large bag of potatoes
Milk, butter, salt, pepper and garlic to season

Step 1.
Wash potatoes in running water

Step 2.
Cut potatoes in half

Step 3.
Cut the halves into quarters

Step 4.
Fill the crock pot with the potato sections leaving room to cover the top of potatoes with water.  Set on high and leave several hours.

Step 5.
When the potatoes are tender (3-4hours) prepare them as you usually do with a masher or potato ricer, season to taste and serve!
