Back in the day I loved Ruby Tuesday
from the second she came to town. I enjoyed the salad bar, I sipped
chocolaty milk shakes, and I simply adored the smokey mountain
chicken. Then they changed their look and their menu, and I was
skeptical until I went in for a closer look.
I found the salad bar to
be in place as usual and full of the same crisp lettuce, broccoli and shredded
carrots as well as colorful beets, red grapes and salty olives. But
now my salad was arranged on a stylish square plate which inexplicably
made it look ten times more elegant and classy. Interesting.

The
new decor is great, too. The new style lamps step the design into the
new millennium and say goodbye the the old-fashioned glass lamps of the
1980's. I'm not too sure why Ruby Tuesday thought they had to update
their locations, because they were great before but they're even better
these days.
I was a little nervous about picking a new item from the menu because I had grown quite attached to my former choices and felt unsure about what might tickle my fancy this time around. That is, until I had my first bite of the Parmesan Chicken. Holy cow! I don't know what the fat and calorie content is - I'm betting it's high - but I just don't care when I have this dish. I only eat half because it's so rich, but it is absolutely out of this world and with it mixture of cheeses it is hands-down my favorite Chicken Parmesan anywhere, anytime, any galaxy.

The new drink options are terrific,
too. My favorite is the pomegranate ice tea. Not only because it's
delicious and provides a dose of antioxidants, but because they are
served in the most elegant glasses that make even the simplest beverage
special and unique.
Overall, the changes are great and do nothing except enhance the experience of dining at this national establishment. Ruby Tuesday has remained a favorite chain spot for me even if it is for completely different reasons. |
